ecobasa at the EDE in Schloss Glarisegg

Arne and Delci from ecobasa offered to give a gift-economy input for this year's Ecovillage Design Education (EDE) in Schloss Glarisegg, Switzerland.

EDEs are usually 1 month long events that offer a holistic education based on the 4 pillars of sustainability: ecological, economical, social and worldview. We gave our input during the economic week, by presenting ecobasa and the gift-economy network and holding a gift-circle for the EDE-students as well as members of the community.

We were really happy to see that gift-economy was already present in the mindset of quite a few participants, as well as in Schloss Glarisegg, among the community members. By the way, the community is now registered on ecobasa, so check out what they have to offer and what they need, in case you plan to visit them.

In the organisation of the EDE we really liked that in order to offer a reduced fee, the organisers involve the participants in managing the kitchen for the whole seminar center for this 1 month. There were also food saving actions almost every day.

We are volunteering to grow the gift-economy network.
Please support our work with a donation to sustain our travels!
